Departmental Overview :

The Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery & Burns was started in 1967 headed by Professor Dr.N.C.Nanda as 10 beded Unit as division of Plastic Surgery under the department of General Surgery. Now the Bed Strength increased to 75 beds which includes 22 beds for Burns (Out of which 9 beds for ICU and Semi ICU) and 53 beds for Plastic Surgery. The Burn Unit has been upgraded under the National programme for prevention Management of Burn Injuries (NPPMBI). This Department caters serious patient of Odisha and adjoining States.

OPD days:
The deptt. runs Burns, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery OPD on 4 days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.00 AM to 5.00PM.

Faculty Staff:
The deptt. Provides comprehensive health care to patients suffering from burns or requiring Plastic Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Micro vascular or Maxillofacial Surgery. There are 05 Faculties, 02 Senior Resident,06 Plastic Surgery Qualified Assistant Surgeons and 09 M.Ch Residents.

• Reconstruction Surgery for Burn, Ear deformity and other limb defects.
